GenX Alliance presents

Privacy, in plain English

We do collect some information. Here's all of it, what it's for, and how long we keep it. No ads, no ad trackers, no selling, no paid anything.

The mailing list

Your email address, plus anything you chose to add: first name, class year, state. We note when you signed up, when you confirmed, and the internet address you signed up from (to stop spam). We use it to email you about the party: the door code, reminders, the final count. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.

GenX Alliance accounts

The party house is GenX Alliance's home, so joining the list also makes you a free GXA member at genx.forum. Every sign-up form says so. When you confirm your email, we give genx.forum your email address, first name (as a starting username), class year and state if you gave them, and the internet address you signed up from. If your email already has a forum account, we link to that one instead. You pick your own username and password on genx.forum. Free forever, never paid.

When you log in here with GXA, the forum tells this site your account number, username, avatar, and the class year and state you chose to share. Unsubscribing from the emails doesn't delete your forum account; ask us and we'll delete either or both.

Cookies

A login cookie (while you're logged in). A list cookie that remembers you confirmed your email (120 days). An invite cookie when you arrive through someone's invite link, so they get credit (30 days). Nothing for advertising or for following you around the web.

Invites

If you come in through someone's invite link, they get credit for bringing you. They see a number, never your name or email.

Games, the Neighborhood and party night

We keep your Streetlight Rush scores (with the initials you pick) and your daily Neighborhood activity: which days you visited, what you did, and your Gen X Dilemma answers. We also keep your achievements, your Hall Pass settings, the chat messages and stories you post, and your Roll Call check-ins. Leaderboards show your initials. They show your class year and state only if you leave those switched on in your Hall Pass. Dilemma results for a class or state only appear once at least three people from it have answered.

Internet addresses

We log internet addresses to stop spam, cheating and flooding. Rate-limit records are deleted after a day. Addresses on game runs are wiped after 30 days.

Other companies' stuff on our pages

Fonts load from Google Fonts, which means Google sees your internet address when a page loads. On party night, videos and live streams play from YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Facebook, Vimeo or Rumble, and those players follow their own privacy rules. If we turn on Cloudflare's "are you human" check on sign-up forms, Cloudflare sees that check.

How long we keep things

We keep you on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you. Game runs that were started but never finished are deleted after two days. Everything else from the party (scores, chat, Neighborhood activity) is kept through the party and its Yearbook (Hall of Fame), then cleaned up. Ask us any time and we'll delete yours sooner.

What we don't do

Sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to anyone for marketing. Ever. GXA Bucks and achievements have no cash value and can't be traded.

Getting out

Unsubscribe from any email with one click. Want everything deleted (list, scores, Neighborhood activity)? Email 504 Emily Drive #1037, Clarksburg, WV from the address you signed up with, and we'll do it.

Who we are
